Guest Speaker: Stuart Withers

Our Law students were joined today by Stuart Withers, LLM from Liberty Human Rights. Stuart joined Liberty last year as an Advice and Information Officer. He boasts experience in a private practice at a leading human rights firm where he assisted solicitors on civil liberties and human rights cases involving holding the state to account.

ARU London's LLB students heard first hand about campaigns Stuart has been involved in, including his campaign to save the Human Rights Act and the challenge to new surveillance powers. He also spoke about high profile litigation Liberty had participated in; many of these cases that were familiar to the students from their studies of Human Rights and Constitutional Law. The students had the chance ask questions about the daily work of a human rights lawyer and were encouraged to think about volunteering at a human rights organisations.

We would like to thank Stuart for taking the time to provide an inspiring talk to our aspiring lawyers.

The Business Strategy Game 2017

ARU London is very proud to announce that this year 3 MBA students have secured first place in the Business Strategy Game. Even more impressively, they won with a perfect score of 100! This rare feat is testament to the effort and hours they devoted, which has been averaged out at 200 hours per group, remarkable!

Congratulations Huda Aldori, Leftiana Nasto and Mike Sell on your fantastic achievement and best of luck for the remainder of your studies.

The Careers Fair 2017 was a great success!

On the 14th and 15th February 2017, ARU London hosted a two-day Careers Fair event. Organised by the Employability team, the fair welcomed over 1500 ARU London students who seized the invaluable opportunity to network with approximately 25 respected employers from across London. Organisations from a wide range of sectors including Accountancy, Law, Tourism, Hospitality, Healthcare, Business Services and Fashion attended giving our students plenty to choose from. Attendees included The Ritz Hotel, Royal Automobile Club, COS, KLSA Accountants, ANA Nursing, Special People Ltd and Milkround to name a few. Students were encouraged to approach the employers and find out what they do, what current opportunities they have available and how they can apply, and what they look for in prospective candidates.

The event was a great success with many CVs being accepted and employer interviews with students already being arranged. The feedback given from the representatives of each company was immensely positive and we would like to thank them all for attending. Special thanks also go to the fantastic team of student ambassadors that worked hard to ensure the smooth running on both days of the events.

Thank you for coming!

Look out for pictures on Facebook at as well as around the campus!

Dragons' Den - Congratulations Diamond NYE Party!

Thursday 8th December saw the culmination of our second Dragons' Den event. The day was a huge success with all six finalists presenting extremely professional and planned proposals. The Dragons had the difficult task of picking a winner amongst such brilliance but came to the decision to crown Diamond NYE Party for their well thought out business plan. Simon Hedley spoke very highly about the standards of each groups pitch and was blown away by the quality shown this years. ARU would like to congratulate all those involved in this years Dragons' Den for making it another great success.
