Studying at ARU London
Our approach to your student experience is simple: we do all we can to ensure that you graduate with a good degree classification as well as the required knowledge, understanding, transferable skills - and if at all possible, first-hand work experience, to match your career aspirations.
We also try to keep any money worries to a minimum.
How do we do this?
At ARU London, your principal lectures and tutorials - your direct contact hours with lecturers on campus - are concentrated into two intensive days. (At more traditional universities, you are likely to have less direct contact time with lecturers and your fewer hours of lectures will almost certainly be spread out unevenly over the course of the working week.);
The ARU London timetable involves classes from 10.00 am through to 4.45 pm with breaks mid morning and mid afternoon and for lunch. Alternating between lectures and tutorials, you get plenty of opportunities to apply the theories and practices outlined in the lectures in highly interactive tutorials. Detailed timetables are available once all stages of registration have been completed;
In addition to your formal lectures, ARU London offers weekly subject 'surgeries' to give you the chance to clarify anything you're struggling with or simply to put questions about the course material to academics;
All our programmes are further complemented by guest lectures and speakers from the world of business
We consider that our timetable therefore optimises the chances of a meaningful part-time job during the working week - ARU London students have additional options and therefore do not have to fall back on traditional student jobs such as bar work or a Saturday job in a supermarket
Part-time work is of course great for adding value to your cv
Having a job also helps keep down the costs of study
And our timetable further helps minimise travel costs
We also believe that you will benefit from our culture of encouraging top performance and some of our students are now able to take advantage of part-time paid internships that we have arranged with a number of high profile employers.
